My Story
Shelly has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 20 years, in supports, intake, business administration and fund development, and has practiced in the art of Spirit Healing for 15 years. A mother of 5 sons, her oldest 26 and her youngest 6 with a 18, 16 and 14 year old in between, she feels blessed to be their mother, and looking forward to the arrival of her first grandbaby!
Shelly is the owner and practitioner of Spirit Healing, a Metis (Cree & Acadian) woman, who comes from a very gifted family background. Her father a Plains Cree Medicine Man and Reader and Grandmother, a Medium and Tea Leaf Reader, her younger sister's one a Knowledge Keeper and another gifted the drum to heal through sound, and naturally drawn to Numerology, Shelly has been receiving information and guidance of the psychic, spirit, ancestral and energetic world around her at a very young age, heightening her awareness with time, experience, and natural progression. Shelly likes to call this "the gift of sight" awakening to her gifts over 15 years ago, practicing over 12 she is an Intuitive Reader, Traditional Healer. With clients across Canada and the United States, she likes to joke with them by saying, “Outside of this I am just a normal person.”
Every reading requires a connection with a higher source, Manito (the Creator or God), ancestral connections and universal or natural energy, this is an inherited right gifted to her by law of nature, passed down through her blood line. Being able to see intuitively what a person needs for their healing process has added something new to the whole aspect of emotional, physical, and energetic healing, helping bring balance to her clients. As a psychic healer and intuitive reader she has been working with people to help heal their trinity, mind (emotional energy) body (physical or spirit/energetic body) and soul (our core vibration, heart center) on many levels.
Along with her inherited right and cultural practice Shelly has taken studies threw the University of Alberta's, Faculty of Native Studies to help her have a better understanding of the generational trauma caused by colonization. Understanding that both sides of colonization need healing in order to move forward and in unity she is able to help navigate these feelings of the past.
She has also studied the art of Reiki, Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". A Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a universal energy is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. Being successful in her practice, one of her favorite techniques is touch therapy she loves how it brings mobility to many of her clients.
Having the ability to access many of the spiritual gifts is one of the reasons Shelly began her practice, to help people heal, people of all ages and backgrounds with no boundaries or judgment, regardless of the work she is doing, be it workshops, one on one healing sessions, intuitive readings, she believes we all deserve to live life with clarity.
"We all have the ability to illuminate the love of our Creator, so why not share it with the world.
